Terms & Agreement
Last updated: May 26, 2026
1. What Haul Delaware is
Haul Delaware is a contact bridge. We connect customers who need moving, garage cleanout, or junk pickup work with independent local contractors who do that work. We are not a moving company, hauling company, or cleanout company. We do not employ the crews who show up at your property and we do not own the trucks they drive.
2. We are not a party to the job
Once a customer and a contractor agree to work together through Haul Delaware, the job is between those two parties. Haul Delaware is not responsible or liable for what happens during, before, or after the job. That includes — but is not limited to:
- Damage to property, items, vehicles, or premises
- Personal injury to any person on either side of the job
- Lost, missing, broken, or improperly disposed-of items
- Delays, no-shows, cancellations, or incomplete work
- Payment disputes, pricing changes, tips, or chargebacks between the parties
- Any conduct, statement, or representation made by a contractor or a customer
By using Haul Delaware, both customers and contractors acknowledge that Haul Delaware is acting only as a point of contact and is released from liability for any outcome of the arrangement.
3. Insurance is each party's own responsibility
Each side must carry their own insurance to protect themselves. Haul Delaware does not provide coverage to either party.
- Contractors are responsible for maintaining their own commercial general liability, auto, cargo, and workers' compensation insurance as required for the work they perform. Haul Delaware does not verify, underwrite, or guarantee any contractor's insurance.
- Customers are responsible for their own homeowner's, renter's, business, or property insurance covering their belongings and premises during the job.
If a claim arises from a job, it is to be handled directly between the customer, the contractor, and their respective insurers. Haul Delaware will not be named as an insuring party and will not adjudicate claims.
4. Booking and pricing
Prices quoted through Haul Delaware are estimates provided by the contractor. The final price, scope of work, and payment terms are agreed between the customer and the contractor. Haul Delaware does not set, guarantee, or enforce pricing.
5. Data and privacy
We collect contact information, job details, and message history so we can connect the right contractor to the right job and keep a record of activity on our platform. This data is stored for our internal records.
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
- We do not rent or trade your personal information.
- We share only what is necessary for a contractor and customer to complete a job (name, contact info, address, job description).
- We may use anonymized, aggregated data to improve the service.
- We retain records for as long as needed for operations, accounting, and legal compliance.
If you'd like a copy of your data or want it removed from our records, email hi@hauldelaware.com.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use Haul Delaware to harass, defraud, or impersonate anyone. Don't post false reviews, fake job requests, or illegal work. We can suspend accounts that violate these terms.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use of Haul Delaware after a change means you accept the updated terms.
